Norman Acoustic Guitars was first started only to avoid the high cost of a single acoustic guitar replica produced by a major guitar manufacturer.
Since then, a passion for building acoustic guitars developed, and a hobby evolved into a desire to offer the same hand-built replicas to others but at a more affordable price than major manufacturers or independent luthiers.
All replicas are hand-built using the most accurate plans available and the highest quality tonewoods and materials from trusted suppliers. The building techniques used have been learned from some of the most well-known and respected luthiers in the world. All replicas have two modern upgrades: a double-acting truss rod for adjustability, and a neck scarf joint and stacked heel for added strength.

Exhaustive research has been completed on each replica including using the most accurate instrument plans avaialbe from luthiers who have thoroughly examined the guitar at one time during a repair or evaluation.
There are many ways of building an acoustic guitar. We at Norman Acoustic Guitars have spent a lot of time performing the various techniques and have settled on those that we believe have created the best sounding guitars.
The guitars at Norman Acoustic Guitars are typically commissioned by customers, however some non-commissioned builds have been worked on and completed during glue dry time and/or the finsih curing phase.
We currently only offer certain replicas, but we are working towards expanding our availability to build other replicas. Requests to build others not on the list can be made, but the time required to build it will be a bit longer.
